Penny Elizabeth DeFranco, MD, attended Santiago University of Technology/The Universidad Tecnológica de Santiago in the Dominican Republic, and received her medical degree in 1985. Then, she relocated to the United States where she served her internship and internal medicine residency at St Luke’s Hospital in Chesterfield, MO. In addition, she completed her fellowship training in nephrology at Saint Louis University School of Medicine (1995).
